Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Scanner to support warehouse operations by ensuring accurate inventory counts and system records. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy for both inbound and outbound freight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts on inbound and outbound inventory to verify quantity, quality, labeling, and condition
- Ensure physical inventory matches system records; identify, report, and help correct discrepancies
- Use RF scanners and pallet jacks to complete inventory tasks efficiently
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including lifting, moving product, pick/pack support, and equipment operation
- Communicate inventory issues clearly and work collaboratively with the warehouse team
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations
- Prior experience using RF scanners and pallet jacks required
- Strong basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
- Ability to spot discrepancies and demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Effective communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 lbs (heavier items with assistance or equipment)
- Stand and walk for 8-10 hours per shift
- Frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, and stretch to access inventory
