Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Manual Machinist for a growing shop environment specializing in stainless steel fabrication and machining. This position primarily involves short production runs ranging from 10-20 pieces and requires experience operating manual machines with digital readouts while consistently holding tight tolerances.

Pay

• $15-$20/hr based on experience and qualifications
• Higher pay may be considered for highly qualified candidates

Job Responsibilities

• Operate manual machining equipment with digital readout systems
• Machine and fabricate stainless steel parts to specification
• Hold tight tolerances and ensure precision quality standards are met
• Read and follow blueprints, measurements, and work instructions
• Perform setups, adjustments, and quality checks on finished parts
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work efficiently on low-volume, precision production runs

Qualifications

• Previous manual machining experience required
• Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances
• Experience working with stainless steel is preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM
• No formal lunch break - employees typically snack between jobs
