Job Summary
The Mixer Operator is responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients according to established formulas and production schedules. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, consistency, and food safety standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, measure, and stage ingredients according to recipes and batch sheets.
- Operate industrial mixing equipment and monitor mixing times, speeds, and specifications.
- Verify that all ingredients are properly recorded and added in the correct sequence.
- Perform quality checks on doughs, batters, and finished mixes to ensure consistency and compliance with standards.
- Complete required production documentation and batch records.
- Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues to maintenance or supervision.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and cleaning between production runs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work closely with production and packaging teams to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, mixing, baking, production, or machine operation preferred.
- Ability to read and follow recipes, formulas, and production instructions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating ingredient quantities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
