Laser Operator – 2nd and 3rd Shift (Rantoul IL)

Salary: $18 - 25/hr

We're hiring skilled Laser Operators to join a growing manufacturing team in Rantoul. This role is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, CNC/laser operation background, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

What You'll Do

• Set up, operate, and maintain laser cutting equipment
• Load programs and materials, monitor feed rates, and maintain cutting quality
• Perform inspections per work order protocol to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Conduct routine and advanced maintenance: startup/shutdown, nozzle cleaning, window replacement, optics alignment, and troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical issues
• Handle steel raw material and scrap, package finished parts with banding/shrink wrap
• Support process improvement and safety initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Education/Experience: 2-Year Machine Tool or CNC Technical Degree preferred; 3+ years laser/CNC experience strongly preferred
• Forklift and crane operation certification a plus
• Ability to read blueprints, use inspection tools, and apply math for measurements
• Mechanical repair skills (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
• Comfortable with frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, squatting, and working in a manufacturing environment
