Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues including engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension systems
- Perform advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Lead and support a team of technicians by assigning work and providing guidance
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and are completed efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance services including brakes, oil changes, and inspections
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Enforce shop safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with management regarding workflow and repair needs
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an auto mechanic (required)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical data
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE certifications (a plus)
- Experience in a lead or senior technician role
- Strong knowledge of electrical and engine diagnostics
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Stand for extended periods and work in various positions (bending, kneeling, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment
