Our client is a well-established residential remodeling company looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee remodeling projects and lead field crews. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for keeping projects organized, on schedule, and up to quality standards.
Pay: $44-$54/hour
Schedule: Full-time (7:30am-4:00pm)
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations on residential remodeling job sites
- Perform carpentry work while overseeing project production
- Supervise and support carpenters and other field crew members
- Coordinate with subcontractors and help resolve jobsite issues
- Work with designers, production managers, and other team members to keep projects on schedule
- Communicate with clients and participate in client meetings as needed
- Schedule and coordinate inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Ensure crew members follow proper safety procedures
- Monitor project schedules and communicate any issues or delays
- Complete punch list items and ensure work is completed to specifications
- Communicate regularly with the production and planning teams
- Respond to calls, texts, and emails in a timely manner
- Complete and submit timesheets, receipts, and reimbursement requests
- Attend production and company meetings
- Use technology and project management tools as needed
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of carpentry experience, typically
- Experience leading a construction crew or remodeling project
- Strong knowledge of residential remodeling and construction
- Knowledge of how different trades work together on a renovation project
- Proficiency in a wide range of carpentry skills
- Lead-Safe Renovator Supervisor certification
- Construction Supervisor License required within one year of accepting the position
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions on the jobsite
