Seeking to hire 2 cooks in a direct hire role for a small restaurant - preference will be given to 1 pastry chef. Food Handlers card required. Seeking experienced cooks that can take direction well.
Pay Range $17.00-$20.00 wage
Hours - 6:30am-1:00pm Mon-Fri
Key responsibilities
Station setup: Stock and set up the cooking station with all necessary ingredients and supplies before service begins.
Food preparation: Chop, mix, and prepare ingredients, including sauces, according to recipes and standards.
Cooking: Cook food to order using various methods like grilling, frying, and sautéing, ensuring it meets quality guidelines.
Plating: Assemble and plate dishes according to specific instructions and presentation specifications.
Station maintenance: Keep the workstation clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the shift, and perform end-of-shift cleaning.
Inventory and stocking: Monitor stock levels and restock items as needed during service, and perform inventory counts.
Food safety: Handle and store food properly, and comply with all food sanitation and hygiene regulations.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely service.
Other duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors, which may include assisting other cooks or preparing special items for customers with allergies.
