Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport lumber and building materials
- Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery
- Assist customers and delivery drivers with loading materials
- Keep the lumber yard clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Assist with inventory and general yard maintenance
- Step up to lead by example and assist with daily workflow as needed
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience is required
- Experience in a lumber yard, warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or other physically demanding environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to take initiative
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality work
- Reliable, motivated, and safety-conscious
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
