Position: Machine Operator (Packaging Line)
Type: Contract position
Location: WoodinvillePay: $21 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5AM,7AM-1PM,3PM (Start and finish time is various, depending on production schedule, no weekend shift, except urgent production needed)
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery (mixers, pasteurizers, boilers, conveyors, packaging equipment, etc.) and accurately scale/prepare raw ingredients as needed.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality control staff to meet production goals and resolve issues.
- Assemble and package products according to guidelines for labeling, sealing, and product integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and follow strict sanitation procedures to ensure food safety.
- Manage and support the filling team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Follow all safety protocols, use required PPE and promptly report concerns or incidents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and company objectives.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably food, beverage, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical packaging.
- Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot automated filling, capping, labeling, and sealing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic machine adjustments or preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, or FDA-regulated environments is highly preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, production schedules, and quality standards with strong attention to accuracy.
- Capable of performing line setup, equipment calibration, and product changeovers efficiently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging production data, completing checklists, and communicating with supervisors.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility with shift start and end times based on production needs.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
