A client of ours in Sherwood is looking to add a Manual Machinist their team. This company is looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment!

This is an evaluation to full time hire opportunity

Duties:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembling products.
• Installing assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints.
• Inspecting assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications
• Running a Manual Horizontal Boring Mill, Vertical Mill, Lathe, Drill Press.
• Must be flexible in daily duties to adapt to the work needed.
• Improvise tooling to accomplish the production needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Have experience setting up and operating fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block, and form, or straighten materials.
• 3+ years setting up and operating: Lathes, horizontal mills, vertical mills a Horizontal
• Experience handling and setting up large parts
• Experience working with steel and/or heavy metals
• Work with engineers for tooling specs
• Must be able to work with limited supervision
• Lifting up to 50lbs
• Looking for someone with enough experience and confidence to be 'Plug and Play'.

Pay: $24-$28/hr. DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6 AM-2:30 PM
