Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a leading manufacturing client in Wilsonville, Oregon seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic II to join their maintenance team on a temporary basis.
This position is ideal for an independent problem solver who can diagnose and repair a wide variety of production equipment issues. The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with complex manufacturing machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, and stop-work authority.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install production machinery and supporting systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and documentation accurately and on schedule.
- Assist with spare parts inventory management, including identifying, ordering, and tracking replacement components and supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with maintenance, production, and other departments to achieve operational goals.
- Communicate clearly through written, verbal, and visual methods.
- Maintain quality and compliance standards while supporting manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing advanced troubleshooting and repairs on 24/7 production equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and commitment to supporting production operations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of performance and attention to detail.
- Experience using computer-based systems in a network environment.
- Working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC-controlled equipment.
- Computer and software troubleshooting experience.
- Experience using CAD software to review or edit drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
- Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.
