The Maintenance Supervisor oversees a team of Maintenance Technicians and Control Technicians to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of production equipment. This includes implementing maintenance procedures and providing training to technicians while maintaining compliance with company policies, customer satisfaction, Safe Quality Foods (SQF) principles, and regulatory requirements. Current opening is on night shift (6PM – 6AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule. Starting salary of $90,000 - $100,000 + bonus.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct and monitor the activities of employees engaged in maintenance operations and procedures
- Ensure a safe workplace through training in LOTO, hot work, confined space, and other safety practices.
- Provide direction, expertise, and compliance reviews for all maintenance work performed.
- Recommend maintenance plan improvements based on equipment performance, observations, and data analysis.
- Accurately record work plans, specifications, labor, and materials against specified assets in CMMS.
- Drive the development and implementation of maintenance improvement processes to enhance overall equipment reliability.
- Support, coach, mentor, and develop plant Maintenance team members.
- Partner with outside contractors to complete work as needed.
- Inspect and monitor work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Requisition materials and supplies such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts.
- Inspect, test, and measure completed work to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
- Analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
- Utilize metrics/data to evaluate and improve work processes.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Utilize standard work processes to ensure repeatable performance.
- Evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
- Develop estimates and actual costs of materials, labor, or outside contractors.
Qualifications
- A high school or equivalent degree; a two-year technical or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment to include electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.
- HVAC certification preferred.
