CDL Class A Driver - $30/hr

Location: Clackamas County, OR
Pay: $30.00/hour
Schedule: Part-Time / On-Call with Opportunity for Additional Hours

Job Description

The CDL Class A Driver will operate flatbed and roll-off box trucks to deliver and collect materials from residential and commercial locations. This position requires someone who is dependable, comfortable navigating local routes, and able to maintain accurate paperwork throughout the day. Additional hours may be available for candidates interested in assisting with general duties in the steel yard.

Responsibilities

• Operate flatbed trucks and roll-off box trucks safely and efficiently.
• Deliver products to residential and commercial locations.
• Pick up materials from customer locations as assigned.
• Transport materials for weighing as required.
• Maintain accurate paperwork for deliveries, pickups, and loads.
• Safely secure and transport materials.
• Use GPS and smartphone technology to navigate assigned routes.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Assist with steel yard duties when additional hours are available.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of CDL Class A driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major infractions.
• Flatbed and/or roll-off truck experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned routes efficiently.
• Comfortable using GPS and smartphone technology.
• Must have access to a smartphone for routes. Phone reimbursement or a company-provided device may be available if needed.
• Comfortable working in an outdoor steel yard environment.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time, partially on-call position, so working days may vary depending on delivery needs.

• Monday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: Off

There is an opportunity to receive additional hours by assisting in the steel yard when driving work is not available.
