Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate manual machines-including lathes, mills, and surface grinders-to produce precision components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and skilled in reading blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
• Select proper tools, speeds, and feeds for various machining operations
• Perform layout, cutting, drilling, threading, facing, and finishing tasks
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area following all safety procedures
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines and equipment
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to meet production deadlines
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
• 2+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques, materials, and safety practices
• Proficient in blueprint reading and the use of measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
