Manual Mill Operator - 1st Shift

Location: West Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Manual Mill Operator for a well-established metal manufacturing company in West Phoenix. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in metal fabrication, machining, aerospace manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, or other precision manufacturing environments.

We are looking for dependable individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to produce quality parts while maintaining tight tolerances.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual milling machines to machine metal components to specification
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructions
• Perform dimensional inspections throughout the machining process
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
• Maintain required tolerances and quality standards
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations
• Deburr, finish, and inspect completed parts
• Complete production paperwork and inspection records accurately
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating manual mills required
• Experience in metal manufacturing, machine shop, aerospace, automotive, or related industries preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of machining practices and manufacturing processes
• Proficient using calipers, micrometers, scales, gauges, and other measuring instruments
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and quality specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
• Stable work history with good tenure and reliability
