We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Mark, IL. This position will begin with training on 1st shift before transitioning to a permanent 3rd shift schedule. The ideal candidate will have CNC machining experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and machining centers according to specifications
- Utilize CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and understand G-code for machining operations
- Operate auxiliary manufacturing equipment as needed
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure product quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic machine maintenance
- Accurately document production activities and quality checks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Safely move materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or similar machining equipment
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other CNC control systems preferred
- Understanding of CAM software and G-code programming concepts
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tooling setups
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and machining tolerances
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and factory operations
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team
