Mechanical Assembly / Tester Technician - Up to $22.00/hr

Location - Northbrook, IL 
Monday – Friday | 5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

We have partnered with a well-established manufacturing company in Northbrook that is looking to add a reliable and motivated Mechanical Assembly Technician to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, working with tools, and learning new skills in a team-oriented environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly testing using hand tools including screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and Allen (L) wrenches
• Read and follow blueprints and assembly instructions
• Assemble mechanical components accurately and efficiently
• Use basic computer systems to navigate work instructions and processes
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals

 

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical assembly experience preferred
• Comfortable using hand tools
• Ability to read blueprints
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to up to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to read and write in English
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Self-motivated, dependable, and a team player

 

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Experience with any of the following is a plus:
• Oscilloscopes
• Voltmeters
• Power supplies
• Gears, motors, or encoders
