We are seeking a Mechanical Reconditioning Associate to disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble mechanical equipment to meet repair specifications. This role involves minor machining, bead blasting, and documentation of repairs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience with increasing responsibility.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude, including experience with controls, instrumentation, tooling, and machine setup.
• Basic math, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of safety policies and a good safety record.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
• Must possess or acquire minimum required tools for the position.
Responsibilities
• Follow department process instructions and shop safety rules.
• Tear down, inspect, estimate, and repair mechanical equipment.
• Perform minor machining, bead blasting, assembly, and related documentation.
• Measure and examine parts to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
• Ensure repairs are accompanied by clear work instructions for other departments.
• Communicate job details during shift changes and assist maintenance with equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Use proper PPE and follow safety standards.
• Report problems or challenges to supervisors, including potential solutions.
