Job Overview
We are seeking 2 Metal Finishers to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grinding, machining and fabrication, with the ability to operate various grinding machines and tools. This role involves precision work and attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes on metal components, contributing to the overall production process.
Duties
- Operate and maintain grinding machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Perform grinding operations on various materials, including Aluminum.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in the assembly of parts and components as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in operating hand tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately.
- Experience in quality inspection processes to ensure product standards are met.
- Knowledge of tooling techniques for effective grinding operations.
- Previous experience operating forklifts .
