About the Role
This is a hands-on MIG welding position for an experienced welder who can consistently produce clean, structurally sound welds in a production environment. You'll be welding steel components using GMAW, reading prints, and maintaining quality standards on 2nd shift at a well-established St. Peters manufacturer. This role is built for welders who know their process-not entry-level or occasional welders.

What You'll Be Doing
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on steel parts, frames, or assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Set up welding machines and adjust voltage, wire feed, and gas as needed
- Inspect finished welds for penetration, fusion, and common defects
- Maintain consistent weld quality in a production or fabrication environment
To Be Considered, You Must Meet the Following:
- Substantial MIG welding experience beyond occasional or trial use, with the ability to pass a weld test
- Working knowledge of weld defects such as porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, and burn-through
- Experience welding mild steel using solid wire and shielding gas
- Ability to read blueprints and follow weld symbols
- Previous production or fabrication shop welding experience
This Role is NOT for You If:
- You have only welded occasionally or in a training/classroom setting
- Your background is general manufacturing, assembly, or machine operation without real welding time
- You are unable or unwilling to complete and pass a hands-on MIG weld test
