Millwright

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Millwright to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient production operations. Key Responsibilities Install, align, dismantle, and move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans and blueprints Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical systems, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and production equipment Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize production disruptions Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) to ensure proper alignment and tolerances Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory documentation Ensure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in millwrighting or industrial mechanics preferred Proven experience as a millwright or industrial maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission components Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics Proficiency with hand and power tools, rigging, and lifting equipment Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Skills & Competencies Attention to detail and precision Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication skills Time management and organizational skills Commitment to safety and quality standards Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Comfortable working in industrial environments, including exposure to noise, heat, and machinery Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work at heights for extended periods #albor
