Mold Technician I

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mold Technician I to join our production team. In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up and monitoring injection molding work cells to ensure successful production runs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to contribute to our high-quality production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Setup & Operation:
- Set up injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment per established documentation
- Enter machine parameters and configure work cells according to specifications
- Monitor production runs and make adjustments within prescribed parameters developed by our Process Engineers
- Set up assembly equipment and fixtures as needed
Quality & Maintenance:
- Perform basic troubleshooting of assembly equipment and process issues
- Clean and maintain all assembly-related equipment
- Catalog and monitor assembly fixtures and tools for wear
- Ensure safety and quality through continuous process monitoring
Training & Leadership:
- Train operators on work cell operations
- Provide leadership to subordinate team members
- Assist with trainee development as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
- Mastery of Material Handler responsibilities
- Strong fine motor skills and ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist motions
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, and constant activity
- Capable of occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing
Work Environment
- Manufacturing floor environment with loud noise levels
- May require excessive overtime as production demands require
- Extended periods of standing and computer activity
- Temperature-controlled production facility
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Status: Hourly, Non-exempt
- Pay Rate: $23.25 per hour
