Molding Processor/Die Setter

Located in Cookeville, TN

Salary: $22.00

Molding Processor/Die Setter, 1st & 3rd shift $22.00-$25.00 an hour.

• Set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor and optimize machine parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform mold changes, tool setup, and adjustments according to production requirements.
• Identify and correct process issues such as flash, short shots, or warping.
• Maintain detailed records of machine settings, production output, and downtime.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines and tooling.
• Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to resolve issues and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
• Train operators on machine operations and best practices when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification in plastics or manufacturing preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in injection molding processing or plastics manufacturing preferred.
• Strong understanding of thermoplastics and injection molding machine functions.
• Familiarity with Hiatian machine.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts if required.
• Forklift certification (a plus).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat and noise.
