Operations Employee Dress Code

Operations Employees, including agency employees and subcontractors, must maintain a professional, business appearance always. This policy applies to all company activities, including offsite company events.
  1. Pants and Bottoms
  • Black or dark-colored pants with no rips or holes are required.
  • Black or dark-colored capri pants are permitted during the summer.
  • Knee-length shorts are only permitted in locations that are not temperature controlled.
  • Sweatpants and excessively baggy clothing are not allowed.
  • Leggings or joggers may not be worn as outerwear.
  1. Tops and Outerwear
  • Brookaire vest, t-shirt, or jacket must be worn as the outer layer.
  • In winter, a dark-colored coat with no rips or holes may be worn over Brookaire outerwear.
  1. Footwear
  • Shoes must be black and clean, either work boots or appropriate footwear, and must be tied.
  • Safety shoes are required in factory areas where heavy items are moved.
    • This includes all forklift drivers, pallet movers, and maintenance personnel.
  1. Grooming and Headwear
  • Hair must be groomed.
  • Prohibited Clothing
  • No revealing clothing is permitted.
    • This includes sleeveless tops, low necklines, or exposed midsections.

Length of assignment: Evaluation Hire (temp to hire) depending on job performance, attitude, and attendance.

Position Description

Ring Panel Operator Role

Proper safe and efficient operation of Ring Panel machines and the delivery of quality panels/links to be packaged on time and the correct quantities required. Always following the Production Pack directions and times and defending the Production Plan.

The Ring Panel Operator oversees the production of 'ring panels' and 'ring links' using entry and exit side media (often referred to as green and white media) - as well as 'rings', to ensure production procedures run smoothly to maximize efficiency, ensure the quality and correct assembly of 'rings links' and 'ring panels', and keep overall production on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Operate according to established Ring Panel Operator SOPs (Standard Operator Procedures) which can be reviewed at any time in the Knowledge Base inside the Connecteam app.
  • Help in the maintenance and development of SOPs for Ring Panel Operators.
  • Complete the DSUM (Daily Standup Meeting)
  • Start machinery and make sure all materials are readily available.
  • Configure the machines (power on, calibration, upper and lower bed temperatures, initial power, counter reset, and peak power) to start a production cycle.
  • Inspect raw materials with precision and measuring tools. Reject unacceptable quality in materials to be 'sealed' in the RF machine, including but not limited to: Entry and exit side media, rings, and protective ESD tape. Notify the Production Team Lead of any quality control issues to maintain the customer / supplier relationship with the packaging department.
  • Ensure the 'brackets' are not damaged, the 'die' is configured the correct way required to the current work order, and the ESD tape is undamaged and applied properly
  • Test the operation of the machine periodically. Ask for Support & Maintenance guidance when checking.
  • Perform production tasks, inspection, monitoring, and quality control.
  • Identify which work orders are 'panels' or 'links', ring size, and media required for assembly. Follow the daily production plan.
  • Effectively monitor the ring panel machine.
  • Verify that the material to be used is available in the warehouse area.
  • Carry out the production of the material in the assigned machine according to the instructions provided in the training.
  • Keep the workspace safe and clean. Each shift must deliver the work area in optimal conditions of order and cleanliness.
  • Inspect the work area and equipment before beginning the work shift and again at the end of the work shift and fill out the Manufacture Machines Inspection Forms.
  • Follow established SOPs safety rules and regulations.
  • Take control of units or final products approved and defective.
  • Register the activities, and at the end of the day enter the information on the platform of the total amount of raw material used.

Ring Panel Training

  • Administrate training under the guidance of the Support & Maintenance Lead. Ensure staff work according to the training given.

Ring Panel area Maintenance

  • Use the form ‘Equipment Issues Report' in Connecteam to report about equipment problems or failures in the work machines and at the same time inform Support & Maintenance Lead or Production Lead of Equipment problems and maintenance needs straight away to ensure quick remedy is taken to defend the production plan.
  • Coordinating and requesting maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain line cleanliness and orderliness during the working day; likewise, you must place all the waste in the assigned containers to proceed with weighing, recording and discarding. Ensuring 6S (Sweep, Shine, Signage, Standardize, Sustain and Safety) standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions

  • Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and remain on your feet during an 8-hour work shift.
  • Working at high noise levels requiring hearing protection. (Must use hearing protection when working continuously with loud noises).
  • Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints.
  • Demonstrable experience as a machine operator.
  • Knowledge in handling measurement tools (temperature gauges, air pressure gauges, speedometers, tape measure, etc.
  • Knowledge in Production Processes.
  • Ability to read programs and manuals.
  • Analytical capacity and attention to detail.
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations. Example: Constant use of protective equipment.
  • Communication and teamwork skills.
