Pay: $20-$25 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday (occasional weekends as needed)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter to support both residential and commercial projects in the Champaign area. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and completing light repairs to ensure high-quality results. The ideal candidate has experience with painting, drywall work, and general property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial properties
• Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, patching, and priming
• Apply paint, stain, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
• Complete drywall repairs including patching, mudding, and sanding
• Assist with general property maintenance tasks as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and customer satisfaction
• Follow project timelines and work efficiently with team members

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of painting experience (residential and/or commercial)
• Experience with drywall repair and finishing
• Basic knowledge of property maintenance (repairs, upkeep, minor fixes)
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with paint sprayers and specialty coatings
• Background in construction or maintenance roles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
