Express Employment Professionals is seeking reliable Warehouse Associates for a distribution facility in Peru, IL. Employees will be assigned to a department based on business needs and may work in picking, shipping, receiving, box assembly, or carton preparation operations. This is a fast-paced warehouse environment with overtime opportunities and increased hours during the busy season.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Current Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Peak Season (Beginning Around November): 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Overtime may extend shifts up to 12 hours based on daily volume
- Up to 6 days per week during peak season
- Saturday is typically the scheduled day off
Candidates must be flexible and available to work extended hours and additional days as required.
Responsibilities
Depending on department assignment, duties may include:
- Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment
- Scanning products and printing shipping labels
- Using computer systems to verify shipment information
- Receiving, counting, and replenishing inventory
- Verifying product accuracy and maintaining inventory records
- Inserting packaging materials into cartons and sealing boxes
- Manually sorting cartons to designated truck lanes
- Assembling and preparing boxes for production and shipping operations
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout an entire shift
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
