Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal parts for coating, including cleaning, masking, and staging materials.
- Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment in accordance with specifications.
- Monitor and adjust equipment to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and finish quality.
- Operate curing ovens and ensure proper temperature and timing requirements are met.
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring compliance with company quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of coating equipment and work area.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and PPE usage.
- Maintain production records and report any issues with materials, equipment, or processes.
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet daily output goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1-3 years of powder coating or industrial painting experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with electrostatic spray equipment and curing ovens.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or HVAC-related environment.
- Knowledge of coating thickness measurement tools and quality inspection processes.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production facility environment.
- Exposure to noise, heat, and industrial equipment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
