Job Overview:
Express Employment Professionals of Danville, IL is seeking a motivated Brake Press Operator for a manufacturing facility in Williamsport, IN. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined and willing to learn how to operate a brake press. Responsibilities include setting up and operating equipment, reading measurements, performing quality checks, and safely handling materials. Previous brake press experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and learn to set up brake press equipment used to manufacture high-quality metal components.
- Assist with the setup and operation of brake press machinery to produce precision-formed metal parts.
- Learn to safely operate and adjust brake press equipment while producing parts to customer specifications.
- Set up, operate, and monitor brake press machines to ensure accurate and efficient metal fabrication.
- Work with brake press equipment to bend and form metal components while maintaining quality and production standards.
Please note: Candidates must be willing to work in a team setting, have great communication skills (written and verbal), and must be able to pass a background check.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- Flexibility to work overtime as production demands require
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate production systems.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
