Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated Product Engineer to join our growing manufacturing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) who is eager to apply classroom knowledge to real-world engineering projects. You will gain hands-on experience in product design, testing, and optimization of louvers, dampers, and other HVAC-related components, while learning directly from experienced engineers and manufacturing professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of new products and enhancements to existing product lines.
- Create and revise 2D/3D part and assembly models/drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Participate in prototype builds and product testing for air performance, water penetration, and wind-driven rain per AMCA standards.
- Support engineers in analyzing test data and applying findings to product refinements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and sales teams to ensure products meet performance goals and customer requirements.
- Help prepare technical documentation, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Gain exposure to industry standards and compliance requirements in manufacturing and HVAC applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (required).
- Proficiency in CAD software - SolidWorks and AutoCAD strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Eagerness to learn and apply engineering principles in a hands-on production setting.
Preferred Skills
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in manufacturing, HVAC, sheet metal, or industrial design.
- Familiarity with AMCA testing standards (airflow, water penetration, wind-driven rain).
- Exposure to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
