The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of production workers in processing materials and manufacturing products. The Production Supervisor interacts with Sanitation, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and Operations staff to ensure the production of products meeting quality standards in a timely fashion. This role reports to the Production Manager. Work schedule is Monday – Friday with weekends as needed. We are currently hiring for 1st (6:30AM - 3:00PM) and 3rd (10:00PM - 6:30AM) shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage activities directly related to the daily business and departmental needs.
- Develop, analyze, and deliver simple to complex information to direct reports.
- Provide immediate supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules.
- Mentor and lead production associates, ensuring associates are trained for and compliant with all applicable operations. Assign duties and operations based on daily department needs. Ensure quality products are produced and department metrics are achieved.
- Effectively communicate daily schedules, goals, quality issues/concerns between shifts to ensure expectations are met.
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and trainings.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Safeguard and maintain company equipment and property, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in Safety Investigations after an accident and give recommendations.
- Audit SOP's.
- Ensure all areas are always kept clean.
- Attend all company training sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to train on food safety, food quality, regulatory requirements, safety, customer service and continuous improvement.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing or supervising employees in a Food manufacturing/production environment.
- Good work history and ability to learn.
- Minimum computer skills at an intermediate level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Basic decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Able to meet physical demands in work environment as generally described below
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 5+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Food Safety & Quality Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Food Safety/Quality SOP’s
- Accurately complete require Food Safety & Quality Records
- Communicate any known or suspected Food Safety/ Quality issues to the Q.A. Manager and Department Manager.
- Attends all Food Safety/Quality training sessions

Work Environment: Work is normally performed in a warehouse/production environment As part of the job requirements, employee may be exposed to work in a production setting and cold temperature (-20 degrees) at times. Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24-hour production facility. Schedule is Monday – Friday and may include weekends.
