This role will own the flow of materials, orders, and shipments from purchasing through delivery. Overview:
We are hiring an Account, Shipping & Purchasing Manager to support a growing axle manufacturing operation. This role will own the flow of materials, orders, and shipments from purchasing through delivery. You will play a key role in keeping production running smoothly by managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring materials and supplies are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and ship approximately 25 orders per week, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
- Manage purchasing of raw materials, axle components, and shop supplies
- Monitor and evaluate inventory levels to support production demands
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, including carriers, tracking, and documentation
- Work directly with vendors on pricing, lead times, and order fulfillment
- Oversee purchasing-related expenses and ensure cost-effective ordering
- Utilize ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP) for inventory, purchasing, and order management
- Maintain accurate records and reporting using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook)
- Identify gaps in inventory or supply chain and proactively resolve issues
- Support production and operations teams with material flow and logistics
Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, shipping/receiving, purchasing, or supply chain
- ERP experience required (NetSuite, SAP preferred)
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, especially Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience with overseas vendors or international shipping is a plus
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs as needed
