Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to ensure production equipment, conveyors, and facilities are cleaned and sanitized according to strict food safety and manufacturing standards. This position requires working across multiple departments in a fast-paced environment while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, and food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize equipment and food contact surfaces according to SOPs, GMPs, and food safety regulations
- Perform sanitation duties across multiple departments under time-sensitive conditions
- Clean beverage processing and manufacturing equipment, including COP (Clean Out of Place) and CIP (Clean In Place) systems
- Remove machine guards and accessories for thorough cleaning
- Clean floors, conveyors, and surrounding production areas
- Operate floor scrubbers and sweepers in warehouse and production areas
- Perform pasteurizer cleaning procedures
- Conduct pressure washing of equipment and facility areas
- Remove grease buildup beneath fillers and production equipment
- Maintain accurate sanitation records as required
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 months of manufacturing experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of sanitation or janitorial experience required
- Food or beverage manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Process-oriented mindset with the ability to follow procedures and instructions
Work Schedule
- Schedule varies based on production needs
- Most schedules include weekend availability
- Additional schedule details provided during the interview process
