Seafood Associate (2 Openings)
Location: Natick, MA
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00/hr
Schedule: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Our client is seeking two experienced Seafood Associates to join their team in a retail seafood environment. This role requires hands-on fish butchering experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in a retail seafood counter setting. Candidates with seafood warehouse experience involving fish processing and handling may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, fillet, and portion a variety of fish and seafood products
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and product quality
- Assist customers at the seafood counter when needed
- Properly handle, store, and rotate seafood inventory (FIFO method)
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations
- Support daily setup and breakdown of seafood department operations
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a seafood associate or fishmonger required
- Hands-on fish butchering and filleting experience is required
- Retail seafood counter experience strongly preferred
- Seafood warehouse or processing experience may be considered
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with raw seafood in a cold environment
