An industry leader in the Rogue Valley is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join their team!
What You Get to Do!
This position is responsible for the maintenance of the product design during its production cycle, production processes and documentation, and the transfer of products from the engineering design phase into the manufacturing phase. Plans and design methods to improve production processes. Review existing processes and develop solutions to increase productivity or reduce costs. Ensure compliance with approved production methods and quality standards. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Update and maintain engineering documentation
• Support the building of engineering systems through the design life cycle
• Repair PCBAs.
• Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations.
• Take notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files.
• Run general industry related errands.
• Manage databases and input information, data, and records.
• Research and gather documentation on company positions in the industry.
• Work with others on various tasks.
• May be involved in the activities of fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of products and systems. Utilizes the established Engineering Change Order (ECO) process to implement changes and then validates their incorporation.
• Good communication skills.
• Get along with others, not creating a hostile work environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to work with and as a Team.
What You Will Bring…
• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to rework PCBAs
• Ability to read/update Engineering drawings/schematics
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Experience with engineering lab equipment
• Experience with diagnostic tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, related software and computers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, managers, and personnel from various departments.
• Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
