Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring a Service Tech / Route Rep to join our client's team inEverett, WA. This role blends hands-ontechnical field service with customer-focused route sales, offering a dynamic and rewarding career path for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy building relationships.

You'll be responsible for servicing valve and actuator systems in the field, maintaining customer equipment performance, and identifying product/service opportunities through regular route-based visits. This is a full-time, permanent position offering day shift hours Monday - Friday. Starting pay is $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience.

Field Service Technician Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial valves, actuators, and related flow control systems at customer sites
• Conduct diagnostics and preventative maintenance on mechanical and pneumatic equipment
• Document all service work, inspections, and findings with detailed reports
• Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards during all fieldwork
• Train customers on equipment operation and minor maintenance procedures when applicable

Route Sales Representative Duties

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular route visits
• Identify customer needs and recommend products and services that enhance equipment performance
• Coordinate with internal teams to follow up on leads, quotes, and orders
• Monitor customer inventory levels and suggest reorders or upgrades
• Provide feedback from the field to support continuous improvement and product development

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in industrial field service, mechanical maintenance, or a related technical field
• Sales or customer-facing experience preferred (route sales, territory sales, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a variety of industrial environments
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with valves, actuators, or industrial flow control products
• Experience working in manufacturing, water treatment, chemical, or oil & gas industries
• Basic knowledge of CRM or route planning software
• Self-motivated and organized with a strong sense of responsibility and follow-through
