Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring for a Shipping & Receiving Specialist in Amelia, OH. The Shipping & Receiving Specialist/Shop Floor Assistant role involves receiving, processing, production assistance, inventory, and shipment of orders for all customers. Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work with production management are essential.
Core Functions:
- Perform raw inventory receipt entry in the system of record
- Perform raw and finished inventory cycle counts and enter customer reconciliation reports in the computer system
- Research inventory discrepancies
- Process specialized customer transactions for returns
- Assist in the finishing production of the product and operating production equipment
- Perform Quality Control checks on the finished product
- Pack orders based on specific customer requirements
- Generate shipping paperwork, including calculating truck weight and load capacity
- Answer basic questions about delivery and inventory
- Respond to emails regarding inventory, transportation schedules, etc.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as entering data and record retention
- Organize warehouse and inventory
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate needed supplies
- Conduct cycle counts, restock shelves, and maintain organization of inventory
- Assist in maintaining warehouse shop floor order, cleanliness, and efficiency
- Assist with Machine assembly, Raw Materials, and other tasks
- Operate sit-down forklift as needed for loading/unloading
