Shipping Associate

A client of ours in Sherwood is looking to add a Shipping/ Receiving Associate to their team. This client is dedicated to innovation and excellence in the machining industry. This would be a great fit for someone looking to explore this industry.

Duties:

• Label and package parts for outgoing shipments
• Use ERP system to Receive into stock, create pack slip and look up parts
• Create pack slips and audit outgoing shipments for accuracy.
• Use UPS and FedEx shipping systems, as well as other freight.
• Receiving/verify counts
• Create purchase orders for our sub-contract vendors.
• Maintain vendor schedules and update PO's with confirmed dates.
• Expedite urgent requirements with vendors.
• Use job router and traveller to review parts
• Operate a forklift to move product and load and unload as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Shipping and or receiving experience, minimum of 2 years
• High school diploma/ GED
• Computer, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, this is a physically demanding job, at the end of each month it is crunch time and have to be able to work at a fast pace to get as much product out as possible.

Pay: $20-$23 DOE/hr.

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am- 5:30pm
