Express Employment is currently hiring for a Temporary Shop Utility / Mechanic Assistant for a local company in Longview WA.

Pay: $28.00

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 2:30PM-11:00PM & Friday 12:00PM-8:30PM

Job Duties:

• Perform general shop support tasks including cleaning work areas & Fueling company trucks.
• Assist with preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers, including fluid level checks, battery inspections, tire changes, and general vehicle inspections
• Support routine maintenance activities as directed by mechanics and supervisors
• Track, organize, and manage inventory of shop supplies such as filters, lubricants, and other maintenance materials
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for vehicles and equipment
• Assist mechanics with repairs and other mechanical tasks as needed
• Operate equipment and vehicles with manual transmission as required
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
• Work collaboratively as part of the shop team and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in basic preventative maintenance ( 2+ years )
• Experience performing vehicle inspections and routine maintenance tasks (fluids, batteries, tires, etc.)
• Ability to assist mechanics and follow detailed instructions in a shop environment
• Strong attention to safety and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to perform general labor and shop support tasks as needed
• Reliability and ability to work swing shift hours (including extended or varying weekly hours)
