Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local Watseka company to hire an Industrial Maintenance / Welder to support the maintenance and repair of industrial kitchen and cooking equipment. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys working in a small team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial kitchen and cooking machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Complete clean, accurate TIG welds (MIG welding as needed)
- Assist team members with maintenance and repair tasks
- Safely use welding equipment, hand tools, and shop tools
Required Skills & Experience:
- TIG welding experience required; MIG welding preferred
- Background in industrial maintenance, welding, electrical, or mechanical work
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Qualifications & Traits:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Dependable with excellent attendance
- Fast learner and team-oriented
- Able to work independently and within a small crew
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged visual focus during welding tasks
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Standing, bending, and working with tools for extended periods
Additional Details:
- No supervisory responsibilities
- No travel required initially (possible future travel as the company services clients across the U.S.)
