The ideal candidate will be experienced in quality assurance and able to effectively communicate with coworkers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow specifications and customer drawings to ensure products meet required standards.
- Set up, operate, fix, and use inspection equipment like LED, laser, and electronic sorters to check products.
- Know how to use precision tools to measure products accurately.
- Oversee and help with hand sorting of products.
- Keep records for your area of responsibility.
- Know the process for adding stock to inventory.
- Decide what to do with inspected and rejected products.
- Schedule department work, communicate with your supervisor about overtime, and help analyze work loads.
- Ensure work orders are completed on time, and keep the backlog under 30 days.
- Communicate well with coworkers and others.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in quality control or a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or production environments.
- Strong understanding of precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication skills to work with diverse teams and customers.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve issues quickly.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Work Environment:
- This position requires working in a production environment with some exposure to noise, machinery, and physical tasks.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
