Supply Chain Coordinator - Bilingual Japanese - Direct Hire

Salary: $42k-$45k/year

We are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator in Schaumburg, IL!
This position plays a key role in managing and optimizing the flow of goods from overseas suppliers to our customers. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, Excel-proficient, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize the supply chain process from overseas suppliers to customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the system.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate proactively when lead times or shipments may affect customer schedules.
• Organize and manage inventory shipments from the warehouse to the office.
• Support inventory optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Participate in conference calls to resolve logistics or supplier issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
• Perform minor translation of emails (Japanese/English) as needed.
• Ship parts using FedEx and occasionally visit the warehouse (1-2 times every few months) using your own vehicle.
• Lift and handle boxes up to 20 lbs as needed.

Qualifications:

• English: Proficient
• Japanese: Conversational or higher
• Excel: Proficient (required)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
