Overview

Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a well-established, mission-driven behavioral health organization seeking a licensed Therapist to join their team.

This role will carry an active caseload and provide comprehensive therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families. The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical foundation, a trauma-informed approach, and a passion for making a meaningful impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical & Case Management

  • Complete mental health assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and discharge summaries
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case documentation
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions based on treatment plans
  • Coordinate and participate in client staffing (intakes, court-related meetings, progress reviews, etc.)
  • Develop therapeutic strategies in collaboration with internal clinical leadership
  • Provide in-home support to families when applicable
  • Connect clients and families with community resources
  • Advocate for clients' rights to appropriate and dignified care
  • Ensure strict confidentiality in accordance with Illinois law and agency standards

Program & Team Support:

  • Collaborate with leadership on program development and community outreach initiatives
  • Participate in trainings, workshops, and interagency partnerships
  • Stay current on industry trends, research, and best practices
  • Contribute to reporting, program metrics, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Support additional program needs as required

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work (MSW) or related field
  • Active Illinois license required: LCSW or LCPC (must be maintained)
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Background in individual, family, and group therapy
  • Exposure to or interest in working with victims and perpetrators of abuse
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate across agencies and multidisciplinary teams
  • Cultural awareness and ability to work with diverse populations
