Siemens Healthineers is currently seeking candidates for a OR X-ray Technologist position that will provide support in Charleston, SC. This is a travel healthcare contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

  • Pay: $2,710 weekly gross (eligible for benefits)

Requirements:
  • Active ARRT certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience at a Level 1 trauma center
About Your Role:

The Operating Room X-Ray Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality imaging services during surgical procedures. This role ensures accurate and timely diagnostic imaging to assist surgeons and medical staff in delivering optimal patient care. The OR X-Ray Technologist works collaboratively with the surgical team, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and sterile techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform intraoperative imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy and portable X-rays, as requested by the surgical team.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and hospital policies.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to meet imaging needs during procedures.
  • Verify patient identity and procedure details to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate records in the electronic health system.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and reporting equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols in the OR environment.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with imaging technology and best practices.
