About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a full-time Upfit Assembler (1st Shift) for a premier manufacturing facility in Wentzville, MO (63385).

In this hands-on role, you will assemble and install custom equipment—including steel cabinets, ladder racks, partitions, and wiring—into commercial vans and trucks. You will follow written assembly instructions and utilize power tools to complete custom vehicle builds. What You Will Do

• Vehicle Upfitting: Install steel cabinets, ladder racks, interior partitions, and wiring components into vans and trucks.

• Tool Operation: Utilize hand tools, cordless drills, and impact wrenches safely and efficiently to attach hardware and custom accessories.

• Blueprints & Instructions: Read and follow paper assembly instructions, schematics, and job specs accurately.

• Quality Inspection: Inspect finished installs for accuracy, complete quality checklists, and verify all components are secured properly.

• Workstation Safety: Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all facility safety standards.

What You Need

• Experience: Prior assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required.

• Tool Proficiency: Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on skill using hand tools, cordless drills, and impact guns.

• Skillset: Ability to read and follow paper assembly instructions. Steel-toed boots are required.

• Work History: Strong track record of job stability and consistent performance in past roles.

• Reliability: Exceptional attendance, daily punctuality, and reliable transportation to Wentzville, MO 63385.
