Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join one of our largest and busiest branches. This role is essential to maintaining accurate inventory, supporting daily operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is adaptable, safety-focused, and takes pride in accuracy and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pull customer orders with a high level of accuracy
- Load and unload trucks while maintaining warehouse safety and cleanliness standards
- Perform shipping and receiving functions, including order processing and inventory management
- Utilize RF scanner equipment to maintain accurate stock levels
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling tools
- Answer phones and assist counter staff as needed
- Work cross-functionally with Counter Sales, Inside Sales, Territory Managers, DOT Delivery Drivers, Receivers, and fellow Warehouse Associates
- Follow direction from the Warehouse Lead and Branch Services Lead
- Report directly to the Branch Services Manager
Customer Service Expectations
While direct customer interaction is limited, excellent internal and external customer service is critical. This includes:
- Ensuring order-picking accuracy
- Maintaining precise inventory through proper scanning and documentation
- Demonstrating a positive, team-first attitude
- Safely handling merchandise at all times
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required
- Comfortable working in a high-volume warehouse environment
- Tech-savvy with basic computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Solution-oriented mindset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift 70-100 lbs regularly
- Forklift experience a plus (or willingness to be trained)
