  1. First day on assignment:
  • Text/Call Express before you go into the facility to let us know you are there.
  • Text/Call Express when you are finished the first day, so we know how you made out.
  1. If you have an extreme emergency and need to call off work, you must contact Express via text or call us at and the client company you are working for asap. Unless the job description tells you to only contact Express. Hold onto your job description so you have the company's contact information handy. You must leave your name, the company you are working for, reason for your call off and a number to reach you at.
  2. This is your time to shine at our clients for possibly a long-term position, so ATTITUDE, ATTENDANCE, and JOB PERFORMANCE ARE ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL, to move forward with our client's and for Express! Do not call off, go in late or leave early within the first 90-120 days or your assignment may be ended.
  3. If you call off or do not show up on your first day on your assignment and have attendance issues, Express would be extremely limited in working with you on future assignments. Position: Yard Jockey

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

The Yard Jockey is responsible for operating a yard truck to move trailers in and out of dock doors and a forklift truck to stack and retrieve supplies and materials as well as following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are minimum requirements for the job. ? Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies

? Move trailers in/out of dock doors with yard truck

? Ensure dock door safety is being followed

? Seal trailer with loaded product and keep records

? Secure product in accordance with customer requirements

? Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device

? Monitor material usage on work floor and supply production lines with raw materials

? Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules

? Keep production lines supplied with raw materials

? Inventory product as needed. And label, sort, wrap and tie product

? Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device

? Other duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

? High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

? Current OSHA forklift driving certification.

Hours: 3rd shift 7:00PM-7:30AM

3 Days on|4 Days Off one week

4 Days on |3 Days Off on two weeks

2-10 paid breaks, 30 min unpaid lunch

Orientation is at 7am for 2-3 hours and then you will train on your shift the same day, be prepared to work all day a 12-hour shift. Report to Harry Morgan & George Sipe, typically on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Dress code: Jeans, t-shirt, NO jewelry, nothing with holes, rips, tears or with profanity on it or offensive

Length of assignment: Evaluation hire depending on job performance, attitude, and attendance

Pay Rate: $23/hr

Timesheets:

You will clock in and out at the facility. Timesheets will be emailed to us by client.

Pay Day:

Every Friday for direct deposit and debit cards. If you choose to have a physical paycheck, Express will automatically mail out your paycheck weekly. You should receive it by Saturday or Monday depending on the mail carrier, sometimes sooner.

  • Sign up for direct deposit or a Money Network debit card. It takes 2-3 weeks to take effect. Normally a penny is deposited in your bank account the week before your direct deposit will take effect. You will get a paper check in the meantime.
  • Please make sure if you have moved, to let us know your most current address. We are not responsible for lost checks.
