Appliance Service Technician

Located in Needham, MA

Our client, a full-service commercial laundry distributor, is seeking an Appliance Service Technician to join their team.

This role is responsible for providing expert repair, maintenance, and installation services for commercial laundry equipment at laundromats and other facilities across New England. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, technically skilled, and able to work independently in the field.

Pay: $22.00-$32.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on commercial laundry equipment
• Install new equipment and ensure proper setup, calibration, and functionality
• Accurately diagnose equipment issues and complete timely, high-quality repairs
• Maintain detailed and accurate service records and reports
• Provide excellent customer service, communicating clearly with clients about repair needs and solutions
• Order and manage necessary parts for repairs and installations
• Work independently in the field while adhering to company standards and safety procedures
• Assist with training or mentoring junior technicians as needed
• Support the overall success of the service department by meeting performance and quality goals

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, or a related technical field (commercial laundry experience a plus)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active role
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
